What should I expect as I walk through the doors?

As you approach either the northern or eastern doors (main entrance), you will be
welcomed by our greeters. They are there to help you with the door, greet you,
and direct you to the appropriate place.

What should I wear?

We want you to be comfortable, and you will find a wide variety of attire at MorningStar.
Some men wear suits and ties while others dress more casually, including jeans and t-shirts.
Likewise, women wear dresses, more casual ensembles, or jeans and t-shirts.
As the title of the songs says, "Come as you are!"

What special accommodations do you have?

All areas of our building are accessible to those with physical challenges or in wheelchairs.
We also have a vibrant deaf ministry with all services and special events interpreted for the deaf.

How are the spiritual needs of our children met?

In the Sunday School hour, there are classes for all ages--Nursery through 12^th Grade.

As part of the worship service experience, we offer Children's Church for ages 3 through 1^st grade.
It is the parents' choice whether their child will participate in Children's Church
or remain with them for the worship service.

Nursery is available for children under 3 for all services.
The nursery provides pagers to quietly alert parents if they are needed.

What goes on during a typical worship service?

Our services vary from week to week, but this is a typical order of service.

• Prelude: Video designed to set the tone for worship or to inform about
  upcoming opportunities/events.
  


• Worship Music: Includes congregational singing and special presentation music,
  with words to all congregational songs on the screens at the front of the sanctuary.
  


• Children's Church: Children are dismissed for their special worship
  with an announcement from the platform and a slide on the screens.
  


• Message: Biblical teaching to encourage, uplift and challenge
  our relationships with God and one another.
  


• Invitation: A time of prayer and reflection for everyone.
  A minister or counselor is available at the front of the church for prayer,
  consultation or to assist with making public professions of spiritual decisions.
  


• Offering: With inspirational music as a background, ushers pass a collection basket
  for those wishing to worship through financial giving.
  We ask our guests to place their completed guest cards in the collection basket
  as their act of worship giving.
  


• Announcements / Benediction / Postlude

What kind of music do you play or sing?

We believe that God honors all kinds of music, and we desire to please Him
by providing a variety of quality worship music.

Lead by our minister of music, we enjoy the latest praise and worship songs,
traditional and modern hymns along with familiar praise choruses.
